Gauges Green is for senior operators across Product, Finance,
People, Engineering, Sales, and other operating functions. You own
the client work. The practice supplies brand, distribution, back
office, peer review, and the harness underneath it.
Most senior independents do not need permission to sell strategy.
They need fewer hours lost to reloading context before every call,
following up from memory, sending invoices, chasing collections,
keeping a pipeline warm, and staying visible without turning
yourself into a marketer.
Gauges Green handles public positioning, referrals, contracts,
invoicing, collections, templates, client context, document
production, and peer review.
Distribution
We run marketing, PR, LinkedIn, and the website. Each partner is
represented as the operator for a real function. Introductions
flow across the practice: a product client who needs a People
executive meets the People partner. A growth client with messy
forecasting meets the Finance partner.
Back Office
We bill your clients, collect the money, maintain contracts and
templates, and deposit the rest after the agreed share. You
never write a check to Gauges Green. You pay when billing starts.
AI Infrastructure
The harness keeps client context current, captures meetings with
speaker attribution, checks outbound work, and keeps commitments
visible. Extending it to another function means adding that
partner's channels, clients, rules, and quality gates.
Who This Is For
You have owned a real function at a serious company. You have
carried the number, hired the team, made the tradeoffs, and lived
with the result. You may call yourself fractional CPO, CFO, Head
of People, CTO, CRO, RevOps leader, Head of Sales, or something
else. The label matters less than the operating standard.
Sales and GTM, pipeline, positioning, revenue operations, accountability.
Operations, analytics, and design, when the function needs executive ownership.
How the Economics Work
The economics need to stay simple. The model is being built
around a small share, likely around 5% of collections. There is
no cost until billing starts.
The model only works if the back office, distribution, harness,
and peer review are worth more than they cost.
How It Works
Each partner owns a function, chooses their clients, and runs
engagements their way. Grow the practice area and bring
practitioners underneath you, or keep it small. Both can work.
Existing partners vote on new partners. The standard is what a
top company would trust with a core function. One weak engagement
damages trust across the entire practice.
If this doesn't work for you, you keep your clients and walk
away. No lock-in.
Let's Talk
If this sounds familiar, book a conversation about the function
you would want to own.

Ryan Eberhard is the Founding Partner at Gauges Green, a practice of senior operators across Product, Finance, People, Engineering, Sales, and other operating functions. Gauges Green runs on an AI harness that keeps client context current, turns meetings into memory, checks work before it leaves, and gives each partner the state of the work before a session starts. Ryan built ZipRecruiter's product org from Series A through IPO, led JobGet as President to profitability and three acquisitions, and led Swing Education's AI work. gaugesgreen.com
